From Zero to All

Sixty days, six hands

How a peel becomes a plate

Kitchen scrap goes in at the gate and comes back out as soil, then as food. Labour is the only input.

  1. Sacks of kitchen scrap and bedding weighed in at the farm gate.01
    Collect

    Scraps In

Peel, culls, trimmings and bedding, weighed at the gate before anything else happens.

  2. Finished compost, sixty days on, turned by hand.02
    Digest

    Sixty Days

Pits, windrows and worm beds, turned by hand. The only input is labour.

  3. The harvest the compost produced, picked and crated.03
    Return

    Food Out

Compost into the beds, harvest into crates — and the crate goes home with peel in it.

And the crate goes home with peel in it, which starts the whole thing again.

The count

Everything here started at zero

Weighed in at the gate, weighed on the way out. Same scale, same people, every time.

  • kg10,000+Kitchen waste diverted
  • trees2,000+Trees planted
  • plants6,000+Other perennials
  • varieties50+Heirloom seed in circulation

Counted conservatively. Every figure is a floor, not a best case — the whole ledger is here.
